Top Five Reasons Why Now Is The Perfect Time To Start A Business
Turn on the TV and all you'll hear is how the stock market still hasn't fully recovered and how unemployment is still rising, so you might think I'm out of my mind to suggest that now is the perfect time to start a business. But I stand by my statement.

If we look at history, more millionaires were made during The Great Depression than any other time in US history and during our last recession in the early 90s many companies still thriving today were born, like Clif Bar.

There are numerous reasons why starting a business now is advantageous, but these are the top five.

In my continual quest to create new sources of revenue, I must admit, I’m lazy. Or maybe efficient or effective are better words. That is, I’m looking for ways to do these three things:

• Attract new customers
• Keep the customers I have and sell them more
• Grow profits

And I want to do all that without having to work harder and harder, faster and faster. Call it efficient, effective – or lazy.

Project Outsourcing: Why ALL Businesses Should Consider Outsourcing an Integral Part of Business Growth
OUTSOURCING: AN OVERVIEW
Businesses of all kinds can and do benefit from the tool of outsourcing every day. Businesses large and small have been outsourcing every day projects for many years. The businesses that use outsourcing as a tool to enhance and grow their business already know the value that outsourcing brings to their organization. Outsourcing is a business process term for what has literally become known as hiring a consultant, independent contractor, or freelancer to do a specific task or tasks for an organization in which the organization either does not have the time or the expertise to do on their own. The organizations that have used outsourcing for many years know that with the positives it brings to the organization that it is also important to have a well managed plan of action for hiring a consultant or contractor for a business task. This includes deciding which projects or tasks to outsource, whom to hire for these tasks, how to manage the project, how to agree on payment terms, and how to achieve the desired results. There are many forms of outsourcing ranging from outsourcing payroll to outsourcing package handling, to everything in between. Small businesses hiring a self-employed accountant to handle the corporate tax returns are in essence hiring a tax consultant. Large corporations that hire outside customer service firms to handle their customer support are outsourcing that function of their business to focus more on their core business functions. It is entirely possible to outsource practically every business process within an organization.

How the new Red Flag Rules impact your business and 11 things you need to do about it now!
The Red Flag Rules are rules that apply to financial institutions and creditors who offer or maintain one or more covered accounts.

The rules specifically mandate that these financial institutions and creditors create and implement identity theft prevention programs to identify, detect and respond to patterns, practices or specific activities that could indicate identity theft. The Red Flag Rule was developed in accordance with the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act of 2003. Under the rule, financial institutions and creditors with covered accounts, accounts that involve making payments "on account", must have identity theft prevention programs to identify anything that could lead to identity theft.

Small Business Networking to Get More Clients and Market Professional Services
It's possible that like the thought of marketing and sales the thought of networking may make you cringe. When most service professionals hear the word networking, they think of the old school business mentality of promotional networking at meet-and-greet events where everyone is there to schmooze and manipulate one another in an attempt to gain some advantage for themselves or their business.

3 Secrets to Avoiding Isolation an an Online Entrepreneur
In my first foray into the self-employed world, I created stenciled floorcloths and wallhangings and sold them in juried craft shows around New England. I did what all of the authors of self-employment books said to do -- turned my hobby into a business. What I discovered rather quickly that this hobby was no longer fun when it became my business -- it was damn hard work. I also discovered incredible, overwhelming isolation in my home-based business. Author Barbara Sher put it best when she said, "Isolation is a dream killer."

Make A Difference And Watch Your Sales Grow
During the past two decades, many of the major insurance companies have been moving to and focusing on the more affluent markets. They want to believe they can make more and larger sales in those markets. Thus, they'll need less agents, which means they'll spend much less money on recruiting and training and they'll make huge profits. They appear to have forgotten whom they served for the past 100 plus years, and what made them the mega companies they are today. According to LIMRA (Life Insurance Marketing and Research Association) the Middle Income marketplace is wide open. And, in our opinion this provides an exceptional opportunity for those few insurance agents, financial advisors and financial planners who will make the effort to learn how to truly help Middle Income Families to solve their financial problems.

Ezine Marketing: How to Triple Your Ezine Opt-ins With a Squeeze Page
For years I've resisted the urge to create a squeeze page for my email newsletter. A squeeze page is a one-page site, or a landing page on a site, that has one call to action: convince the visitor to enter her name and email address to join your list and/or receive your giveaway. On a traditional squeeze page, the visitor has only one option -- to part with her name and email address to opt into your list. This is how the squeeze page term was coined, as the visitor is "squeezed" for her contact information to permit her to continue into the site.

Using the Internet to Build a Network Marketing Downline by Attracting People to You
Using the internet to attract people and build a downline reminds me of when I was first starting my Network Marketing business.

I decided creating an online presence was the way to go so I started a website. I didn't have much help but this seemed like the way to go. It had been a couple of months and my website was getting very little traffic - maybe 10 or 15 people a day visiting, but no contacts were made.

One evening I decided to check my website stats. When I logged in, there had been over 300 contacts made. I KNEW it had to be an error. No way I had that many. I had been getting pretty discouraged at this point and even 3 contacts would have seemed like a miracle. I restarted my computer to clear the 'bug' and get the real stats. But when I logged back in there were over 400 contacts and growing. Long story short, I got over 5000 contacts that week.

Writing and Publishing a Successful Newsletter to Promote your Business
Writing and publishing a successful newsletter is perhaps the most competitive of all the different areas of mail order and direct marketing.

Five years ago, there were 1500 different newsletters in this country. Today there are well over 10,000, with new ones being started every day. It's also interesting to note that for every new one that's started, some disappear just as quickly as they are started - lack of operating capital and marketing know-how being the principal causes of failure.

Strategies for Competitive Advantage in Small Business
Before competitive advantage strategies can be launched, you must consider the needs of your "buying customers" (i.e. Those who pay for your products and services) and your "supplying customers" (i.e. your employees). If you work to keep both of these groups happy (and do not sacrifice one over the other), you will set the stage for weathering the economic storm and outpace the competition. The reason is simple. When you treat your employees as though they were gold, you will ease the stress and worry that they feel during these economic times and they will perform better. They will be better able (and more willing) to implement "above and beyond" strategies for retaining your buying customers.

How Do Google Rankings Change and Affect Your Marketing Efforts
Many marketers get discouraged by SERP (Search Engine Ranking Pages) results if they are not on the top 30 results on Google. This is poor judgment if you are seriously committed to success; One must crawl before Google let s you walk.

Yes, it takes time. How many times have you all heard that? But many times experts fail to tell you that a page 7 result on Google may mean a lot to a website, which was not visible at all 30 days earlier. Impatience is the enemy of a successful SEO campaign. We are not talking about years; there should be some visible results after 4-6 months. So what s considered a visible result? I have outlined some here:
