Factoring Accounts Receivables in 2010 for ROI
A number of businesses have stayed in business today thanks to working capital garnered from invoice factoring for small business. Tight credit at mainstream banks has made it challenging.

First documented in the American colonies before the revolution, factoring started at a time when materials and/or goods were shipped from the colonies to the Americas. Invoice factoring is not a loan but it's the purchase of financial assets, also known as receivables. It differs from traditional bank loans as follows. Bank loans involve two parties, and factoring involves three parties

10 Ways to Get Banned by the Search Engines
When you build your website, you, of course, want to get high rankings in the search engines. There are lots of ways to do this and lots of ways to NOT do this. Below are 10 things to avoid if you want to be in good standing with the search engines.

1. Duplicate Content/Sites Do not set up multiple sites or site pages using basically the same content with a few different keywords spread around. This does not fool the search engines.

2. Cloaking Cloaking is when a website or webpage is set up to show different content for a search engine spider than the human visitors. The cloaked page (for the spiders) is stuffed with keywords in an attempt to get higher rankings. What it can get you is banned!

3. Linking to Bad Neighborhoods Be careful who you link to because you can be found guilty by association. Do not link to adult sites, gambling sites or link farms. Also be careful not

Management As A System
What is a system?

A system is comprised of processes, some important, some not so important. A process has a start and a stop, an in and an out. You know you have a process when you can flow chart it on a piece of paper. A process has a certain state. It is mature and working well or could be embryonic and very immature. A process can be broken if some pieces are not working well together. The system then represents the state of all of its processes. The idea of a system is to focus on long term stability. Understanding the system helps not to make short term decisions which may temporarily fix the immediate need but damage the system in the long term. It is easy when trying to resolve problems to focus on cause and effect.

Can I Sell My Financially Challenged Business?
The answer to our question is of course, yes, but not for the profit you once imagined. Business owners and financial managers have to realize that when they make a decision to sell a business that is challenged that they have to totally un-focus on what the business was worth in the past, and what might be worth in the future. The reality is of course the here and now!

Naturally the danger is that a business founder/owner is improperly focused on a very inaccurate opinion of what the business currently might be worth...

What a Mortgage Lender Provides
Today s low mortgage rates mean refinancing is more popular than ever, and more and more homeowners and home buyers are looking for the best mortgage rates and terms for their budgets. Fortunately, mortgage lenders are in an ideal position to help potential borrowers negotiate the maze of terms and jargon that comprise the average mortgage document.

Small Business Advice: Are You Image-Marketing?
If you're a bootstrapping solo entrepreneur, image-marketing should probably be pretty darned low on your list of priorities.

But before I offend too many people, let me say if your competition tends to be heavy corporate types or mega-company types, then you are probably competing with mega "image-marketing" as well and may need to do some level of that.

That said, here's why I'd ditch image-marketing any day in favor of these 3 types of marketing that are far more effective ...

A logo does not a dollar make

My confession is in my very first business, I lamented for weeks, going back and forth with my designer on creating the perfect logo. But let's think about this for a minute. Ask your raving fans and happy clients what your logo looks like. They probably won't have a clue.

Smarter Business Marketing: Stop Falling Into the Marketing 'Do Over' Trap
I recently spent two full days with a Private Platinum Intensive client and discovered something that astonished me. After carefully considering everything she had created or delivered in the past few years it became crystal clear she was sitting on a goldmine she didn't even know she had.
Not surprising since she, like many of the women entrepreneurs I mentor, have trouble appreciating the value in what they've already done. Instead, they think they have to start over, reinventing everything in order to create the income they desire.
If this sounds like you, then let me reassure you: with a few simple tweaks you'll likely have a fresh, new way of offering your products or services. Trust me, revamping what you have will save you a ton of time, energy and money compared to creating everything from scratch!

The Best Home Business Opportunity Is Yourself
I always meet people or talk to people who swear they found the best home business opportunity and are going to be rich overnight. They swear that they discovered something that makes a ton of money on the net and do not even have to work, the company will set it up and run it for a monthly fee. I always laugh when I hear such nonsense because I have been using the net to build businesses for over ten years now and the one thing I will never do is join some other "franchise" or "MLM" program. The truth is that anyone can come up with a home business that will work and do it themselves. A matter of fact business in any form is best done by yourself and with your own ideas and to make money from home and online the individual is the greatest asset.

Project Outsourcing: Why ALL Businesses Should Consider Outsourcing an Integral Part of Business Growth
OUTSOURCING: AN OVERVIEW
Businesses of all kinds can and do benefit from the tool of outsourcing every day. Businesses large and small have been outsourcing every day projects for many years. The businesses that use outsourcing as a tool to enhance and grow their business already know the value that outsourcing brings to their organization. Outsourcing is a business process term for what has literally become known as hiring a consultant, independent contractor, or freelancer to do a specific task or tasks for an organization in which the organization either does not have the time or the expertise to do on their own. The organizations that have used outsourcing for many years know that with the positives it brings to the organization that it is also important to have a well managed plan of action for hiring a consultant or contractor for a business task. This includes deciding which projects or tasks to outsource, whom to hire for these tasks, how to manage the project, how to agree on payment terms, and how to achieve the desired results. There are many forms of outsourcing ranging from outsourcing payroll to outsourcing package handling, to everything in between. Small businesses hiring a self-employed accountant to handle the corporate tax returns are in essence hiring a tax consultant. Large corporations that hire outside customer service firms to handle their customer support are outsourcing that function of their business to focus more on their core business functions. It is entirely possible to outsource practically every business process within an organization.

The Red Flag Rule was developed in accordance with the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act of 2003. Under the rule, financial institutions and creditors with covered accounts, accounts that involve making payments "on account", must have identity theft prevention programs to identify anything that could lead to identity theft.

Thus, they'll need less agents, which means they'll spend much less money on recruiting and training and they'll make huge profits. They appear to have forgotten whom they served for the past 100 plus years, and what made them the mega companies they are today. Using the Internet to Build a Network Marketing Downline by Attracting People to You
Using the internet to attract people and build a downline reminds me of when I was first starting my Network Marketing business.

I decided creating an online presence was the way to go so I started a website. I didn't have much help but this seemed like the way to go. It had been a couple of months and my website was getting very little traffic - maybe 10 or 15 people a day visiting, but no contacts were made.

One evening I decided to check my website stats. When I logged in, there had been over 300 contacts made. I KNEW it had to be an error. No way I had that many. I had been getting pretty discouraged at this point and even 3 contacts would have seemed like a miracle. I restarted my computer to clear the 'bug' and get the real stats. But when I logged back in there were over 400 contacts and growing. Long story short, I got over 5000 contacts that week.

Strategies for Competitive Advantage in Small Business
Before competitive advantage strategies can be launched, you must consider the needs of your "buying customers" (i.e. Those who pay for your products and services) and your "supplying customers" (i.e. your employees). If you work to keep both of these groups happy (and do not sacrifice one over the other), you will set the stage for weathering the economic storm and outpace the competition. The reason is simple. When you treat your employees as though they were gold, you will ease the stress and worry that they feel during these economic times and they will perform better. They will be better able (and more willing) to implement "above and beyond" strategies for retaining your buying customers.
