Lines Of Credit

When it comes to paying bills the cash is
not always on hand to get the job done and that is why some women turn
to a line of credit. When it comes to a line of credit there are two
different
types. There is the credit that is extended to businesses and then
there
is the credit that is extended to private individuals. How this credit
is created, and used by the borrower, differs in both situations.
A line of
credit for business is something
that many women businesses consider their life line. Without credit
many
women businesses would not be able to pay their bills every month and
some
would have a difficult time meeting payroll as well. Business
credit is usually given in small amounts or is a continuing source
of credit that the bank will decide to add to when the business
requests
it.
Credit is
helpful to businesses because they can pay their bills
and
only owe a portion of that money each month. For example, if a company
had $50,000 in bills for a given month then they would pay those bills
with their line of credit and then pay the monthly payments on that
line
of credit which would be significantly lower than $50,000.
Private
individuals can also get themselves
credit and this can be done in a couple of ways. The most common way of
extending an individual credit is by issuing a credit card. As long as
the woman meets the requirements set up by the credit card company then
she will be issued a credit card with a set limit and an annual
interest
rate. With a credit card you need to keep an eye on the interest rate
and
make sure it does not start to rise out of control.
Another
private form of credit is a home
equity line of credit. That is credit based on the equity, or value,
that
you can take from your home. It is basically the difference between
what
you owe on your home and what your home is worth.
Equity credit
usually
has a reasonable interest rate for the first few years and then the
rate
can change. Many lenders will warn that equity credit should only be a
short term solution and not something you use for many years.
