Helpful Hints On Avoiding Home Business Scams
The question is why are there so many home
business scams out there today. The reason is simple enough.
There are millions of people who are just eeking out an existence from
day to day, living from paycheck to paycheck and need to earn extra money.
Many of these people want to earn the money the fast way and easily.
They get caught up in reading every sales letter, or pamphlet that comes
in their mailbox or any piece of information on the Internet that has to
do with making money. Why do these ads sound so beliveable and so
impressive? These ads are written by professional sales people or
copywriters who know how to write very believeable pamphlets and ads.
For a very long time these information brokers have been making millions
of dollars selling their get-rich schemes to the poor people who really
need to make that extra money. These scammers offer their products
at a relatively low price because they know that people will part with
their money easier if the price is low. Many people are enticed by
these low prices and they feel that if the business works then that is
great, but if it doesn't work then that is just a lesson in life.
Scammers further entice people to part with their hard-earned money by
offering them free things. People always like something for nothing,
and this usually seals the deal.
Despite if a scam is intentional or unintentional;
there are thousands of people today who claim to be netpreneurs who recommend
hype and scams all over the Internet. What is the best way to avoid
a scam on the Internet? Here are some of the telltale signs:
one-time business opportunities
and unrealistic promises
unprofessional behavior
upfront payment to join a business opportunity
lack of proper communication
hype advertising
information that purposely misleads
fruaudulent conduct
If you listen to claims that you can
make thousands of dollars within a very short period of time, then you
must know it is not true. If it were, then everyone would be quitting
their 9 to 5 jobs to rush into that business for themselves! You
should also realize that once you decide to join someone's business opportunity
you are actually helping to build his business. Therefore, you should
never have to pay for this.
I have been scammed more times than I can
count so you think I should have learned my lesson by now. There
was one particular scam that sounded extrememly promising. I even
contacted the originator of the program and someone who I thought was making
money with it. It all sounded very convincing. I had to put
out over $500--not something to sneeze at. Well, after I paid, the
webmaster said that it would be about two weeks before everything was in
order. Needless to say, I never heard from him or his partner in
crime again. This was finally the straw that broke the camel's back.
Finally, I have learned my lesson!
I hope you can see the various hints on
avoiding home business scams are only meant as a help to you. Certainly
there are many legitimate business opportunities out there but you just
have to be careful and sift through all of the rubbish!
