How to Mean BusinessWomen Mean Business!by Lisa Blanton
Selling What Comes Natural The Internet is not a fad! It is a proven medium for the exchange of information. Like it or not, the Internet is going to be an intricate part of our everyday life and a primary factor in the shaping of our culture. As a women we intertwine our professional and our personal abilities. We nurture our relationships, empower our friends, mentor to our children and feed our spirit. We thrive on absorbing and disseminating information; which we have a wealth of. Why not format your information. A forum which will allow you to be taken more seriously and create a avenue by which you can profit from your insight. The distribution of information is not only lucrative but enables people from around the world to build new territories, allies and create new revenue streams. Imagine this: you write down all your receipts, thoughts, insight, poems, words of wisdom or subjects of interest. Takes you how long... a few days... a month. Create a $25.00 e-book (electronic book, resembles a web page. Readable off line). Lets try some modest figures. You market your e-book, through out the Internet for $15.00 each. Even at 2 orders a week, for 1 month you have made $120.00. Not compelling enough. Well, lets try selling it for $20.00, 4 times in 1 month. That's $320.00 from that same $25.00 investment!!!! There are 83.4 million Internet users ages 16 and older, as of April this year! Nielsen predicts 132.7 million by the year 2000. The size and nature of the World Wide Web can make setting up a practice challenging. Rest assured, you don't have to be a techno brain to get involved. Its' easier now than it ever was, and the benefits are real! If the trends of the past decade continue, according to the latest figures by the National Foundation of Women Business Owners (NFWBO), the number of women owned businesses stands at 9.1 million; 38% of al American companies. The number of employees at women-owned firms has quadrupled to 27.5 million since 1987 and annual sales have grown fivefold to $3.6 trillion. Women entrepreneurs are active in the marketplace. Accessing capital, buying technology, using the Internet to expand their business. Much the same way as our male counterparts. Why not cut the "middle man" and grow your business by and for yourself. Have faith
in what
you know. Sure, building a smart investment takes time
and
money. But, ask yourself... can any smart woman
entrepreneur
afford not to invest in their business. ********
