by Regina Baker How many of you have received a request for order via email? You confirm the order, payment and shipping method right? You thank the customer and that's it. Wrong! Reacurring sales are from previous customers so, the best way to show your appreciation is to ask your customer for their birth date and anniversary. If applicable ask for their children's birthday as well as the spouse. Send birthday cards, anniversary cards and holiday cards. This is a sure way for your customers to remember you and your business. Send sales brochures/catalogs too! Offer repeat customers 5% and up discounts periodically. Keep in touch via email with messages like: "Just checking on you and your family, hope everythings going fine and if there's anything I can do to make your day a little better, drop me a line, I'd love to chat with you." People love sincerity with a smile. They're also more likely to refer you to a friend and or family member. Remember it's not always about the sale - it's the caring that counts too! Practice makes perfect. Try it for 6 months and let me know what happens! "People don't plan to fail. They just fail to plan. If you don't aim for what you want to accomplish, you won't get there. Where are you aiming today?" Author unknown.
