1. Have something
of value everytime you call.
2. Create your own
motivational tape! You know what works best for you, so make your
tape and then listen to it everyday!
3. Always offer the
client a "choice" of sale. "Which of these would best suit your budget?"
or "Which of our products would best fit your particular needs?"
4. Find out what
the client wants. "Do you have anything in mind that I am NOT showing you
here today?"
5. Target your particular
sales prospects! You don't want to place an ad for washing machine repair
in a teen magazine do you? Who IS your customer? Once you know WHO your
customer is, then target that group.
6. Believe in your
product or service. Do you use it yourself? What do you have to offer the
client in the way of tips or instructions about the product or service.
Does your product have more than one use? What is it?
7. Promise a lot
and then deliver even more! Always have a little something extra.
8. Don't fail to
act! If the customer sounds interested, don't assume you've made the sale
and skip to the end. Spend the time assuring the client that they are making
a wise decision and why.
9. Think in terms
of others interests and not just the money that the sale is going to bring.
When you focus on the customer then you will gain that customers trust.
10. How attractive
is your package?.. and I don't mean the wrapping...Are you organized, well
versed and informed? If not then your package is un-attractive and you
will lose the sale. Present your sale in a clear, concise, and informative
way!
