Grants: Government Grants
Small Business Grants for Women
Every business starts with an idea or
a dream. To implement this idea or to turn your dream in to reality you
require finance. A grant supports the business ideas and turns the dreams
of an entrepreneur in to reality.
There are many types of grants offered
by the Governments and other financial institutions that include individual
grants for personal necessities, business grants for starting new business,
education grants for funding education and many more. Grants are always
a feasible option to support existing business or financing new business
in all fields. While the United States government does not offer direct
grants for supporting small business there are many state development agencies,
non-profit organizations, intermediary lending institutions and local government,
which offer grants to expand and enhance small businesses.
Small businesses always play a significant
role in the economic growth of a country and that is the reason governments
are always ready to offer financial resources to facilitate small business.
You can receive small business grant to start up any type of business.
From carpet cleaning, photocopying, private tutoring services to day care
business you name any business and these agencies have the grants for you.
All U.S. citizens and residents are eligible to receive U.S. Federal Government,
State Government and Private Foundation-funded grants and loans. Apart
from this these grant programs do not require credit checks, collateral,
security deposits or co-signers. Small business grants are easily available.
Anyone who is 18 year old and thinking about going into business for himself
or wanting to expand his existing business can apply for the grant. Grants
varying between $500.00 to $50,000.00 can be obtained from these agencies.
Usually there are larger payments for business start up costs. If you are
an entrepreneur than you can use the privileges provided by the government.

a business owner.

The government only offers loan programs
IF you have a good credit report. Here is a quote from the SBA, Small Business
Administration on government grants for business:
"The U.S. Small Business Administration
does not offer grants to start or expand small businesses, although it
does offer a wide variety of loan programs. (See http://www.sba.gov/financing
for more information) While SBA does offer some grant programs, these are
generally designed to expand and enhance organizations that provide small
business management, technical, or financial assistance. These grants generally
support non-profit organizations, intermediary lending institutions, and
state and local governments."
There are many types of grants offered
by the Governments and other financial institutions that include individual
grants for personal necessities, business grants for starting new business,
education grants for funding education and many more.
The government gives away a lot of grant
money each and every year. All the grants have specific purposes. Most
likely the purpose is not business. Government grants are usually reserved
for education and research.
A government grant does not have to be
paid back. If it doesn't have to be paid back then you are not allowed
to make a profit, SO... if you are looking for a grant to start a business,
then look at other grants, not those offered by the government.
So what's the answer for getting a small
business grant:
Some of the books and ads you see for business
grants are valuable. They show you everything available to you. You can
get business grants for women for a variety of things. They also show you
the foundations that give away business grants for women.
Small business grants are easily available.
Anyone who is 18 year old and thinking about going into business for himself
or wanting to expand his existing business can apply for the grant.
There are a lot of foundations that
give away grants for business. The main thing you need to know
is this:
"Not ALL government grant programs are
advertised!"
Although billions of dollars are given
away annually by Government Agencies and 30,000 + grant-making Foundations
in the United States, Most Americans do not even know these Agencies and
Foundations exist, or how to contact them.
That's why some of the business grant packages
are very valuable. They have found those resources that you will have a
hard time finding on your own. The business grant packages listed below
have already done all the work for you.
The grant ebooks are not free. They are
not that expensive and well worth the small investment if you are serious
about getting a business grant.
Below you will find some resources for
both, government grants for women and loan for women programs providing
you have a good credit report. If you don't have a good credit report be
sure to visit the loan section as it has resources for those whose credit
report is not so sparkling. (Just like mine used to be.)
May I also say that the books and CDs
offered on small business grants DO offer a LOT of information on
grants for women in "general", but when it comes to "starting a business",
what you are going to find in their products is information leading to
state level, not federal level, and you are going to find information
on private foundations that offer grants for "starting a business".
